Ten-year-old Ruzal underwent his second BMT (bone marrow transplant) in his very young life! This time the transplant was from an unrelated donor in Turkey. The boy survived the surgery bravely. But what made it different was a post-operative complication called GvHD or "graft vs host" reaction. It is dangerous because the body fights the donor cells attacking it. This reaction is tolerated. That is why it is crucial to receive timely medical care and medication support during this period. And it was at this point that Ruzal left without the opportunity to receive such life-saving treatment. It takes a lot of money to pay the clinic bill, which the boy's mother does not have.

At the age of 5, Ruzal was diagnosed with leukaemia. The puncture confirmed the child had acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, a 'common' immunological variant, CNS negative. After treatment with the ALL BFM 2000 protocol, he was discharged home and received maintenance therapy from March 2019 to September 2020. But in October, there was a combined relapse (medullary, CNS, testicular). After counter-cyclic treatment according to ALL REZ BFM 2002 protocol, removal of the testis, another remission, and the next relapse occurred. The second Bone Marrow transplant was performed from an unrelated donor, resulting in a TPC reaction.

The boy's father died shortly before his illness. Ruzal has an older brother and sister. His mother was able to raise them to be decent people, but the younger son's treatment was beyond the women's means: "Our family does not have that kind of money. Now I am bringing up Ruzalchik alone. His father died before he became ill. We could have recovered with your help, kind people, so please help us! Ruzal is a very outgoing boy, and he has many friends that he wants to return to. He has only been in school for three months. He misses his family so much as he has spent his childhood in hospitals. We desperately hope for your understanding and HELP, so please do not stay away! Help our hero to recover to fulfil his dream.

And so, the desperate mother was heard! Together you have done what she asked for. The child received the treatment that was so important for him, without which his body would not have survived the painful adaptation after the repeated BMT. He and his mother, who could not bear to watch her youngest child suffer any longer, thank you from the bottom of their hearts for what you did for them! Thank you!!! Together we are the power!

And we wish Ruzik his strength and life-long remission, a full recovery and a return home to his family as a real winner! And to fulfil his dream of opening his café, where he can help others too!
