Alia is the only and beloved daughter of the Tumenbayevs. Until the spring of 2022, she was always a cheerful, mischievous and active girl. During the vacations, she always played the main roles in the kindergarten. She kept her joy in performances and also in school life. She always approached tasks easily and playfully. The smile never left her face.

In the spring, relatives noticed that Aliya began to get very tired. Often the temperature rose for no apparent reason, and bruises appeared on the body. The girl lost weight and became weak. Her parents took her to the hospital to the haematology department, where they were already running tests. A general blood test showed a decrease in haemoglobin. A little later, in the pediatric oncology department, Alia underwent a bone marrow aspiration. Thus, a terrible diagnosis came into her life - acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

The girl underwent complex treatment. Last July, doctors managed to achieve remission. But to defeat cancer, the treatment must be completed. To monitor the outcome of Alia's therapy, an expensive investigation had to be carried out. The family turned to our fund for help. Thank you to the support of our donors to the For Life Reserve Fund, we were able to help Alia's parents pay for the vital tests.
