"The most precious gift for our whole family will be Barsbek's recovery," says Alina, the boy's mum.
Barsbek was given a course of high-dose chemotherapy. The boy had a short break before starting the treatment. He was released from the hospital for two weeks on 13 December. And now, at the end of December, Barsbek and his mum returned for treatment. Barsbek met the New Year within the walls of the hospital. He had neither a present nor a holiday. Only the hospital Christmas tree with lights, which he looked at for a long time and his heart became happier. Because the family spends all their savings on medical treatment, they have no money left for Christmas presents. Barsbeck's only dream is to banish cancer forever. We wish the wonderful boy a complete and final victory in the coming year!
Alina spent the holiday at home with her favourite family. The girl dreamed of getting a pram for her doll as a present under the Christmas tree. And also, Alina wants to become healthy forever more than anything else in the world! And she is on her way to it. The girl should return to the hospital by the 10th of January. She is scheduled to have a MRD (Minimal Residual Disease) test at that time. You are the ones who helped her to pass this vital test. Thank you for your kindness! Alina will have another course of chemotherapy after the diagnostics. We wish the girl health and victory over oncology in the new year!
The children whom you helped met the New Year 2024 with new hope! May all the children be healthy!
May this time offer chances to reflect on the past and look to the future. The future belongs to our descendants, our children, and we can trust them! However, they need our support.
