The other day little Askhat visited us. We helped him and paid for an expensive diagnosis in November. Fortunately, the tests showed that the baby had the long-awaited remission, and he and his mother could finally leave the hospital.
The boy's mother told us about Askhat's little dream: after his discharge, he wanted to buy a fascinating book and read it. On the eve of the New Year, our foundation decided to fulfil this sweet child's wish. In addition to the book, we also bought Askhat the needed medicines. The boy was so happy and immediately began to examine the colourful pictures.
"Our goal is to help children overcome serious illnesses and support them on their way to recovery. They need to smile and live. Seriously ill children experience many complex emotions. It is important not only to support them financially but also to show sympathy and care. That is why we decided to bring joy and positive emotions to little Askhat," explained Dina Makarenko, Director of Sun of Hope Public Fund.
We are so happy that Askhat has returned home. We sincerely hope that everything will be fine in the boy's family, that he will finally recover and that the terrible disease will never hit him again!
