Little Mohammad needs your help to survive!

The parents of this 4-year-old boy are navigating a challenging journey filled with both fear and hope. They have exhausted their finances, shed countless tears, and experienced moments of despair only to find hope again. With your support, their hope for their son's recovery can turn into a real opportunity! Mohammad has one main dream: to complete his treatment quickly and regain his health. He aspires to become a doctor in the future.

Consider this: a little boy is fighting for his life at such a tender age! Unfortunately, he can no longer find the necessary help in his homeland, and he cannot succeed without your support.

Mohammad is a friendly child who enjoys playing and is eager to learn about the world. He is kind, sensitive, and active. He loves to run and play outside and enjoys interacting with other children.

In March 2025, little Mohammad complained of pain in his side for the first time. His family turned to the Regional Children's Multidisciplinary Hospital in Uralsk for help. After conducting tests and a CT scan, they received a preliminary diagnosis that felt like a terrible sentence: non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a complex form of cancer. The family was then referred to a hospital in Astana, but after a week of waiting, they were not granted the necessary referral quota. They understood that time was of the essence. With the support of relatives, friends, and colleagues, they gathered all the resources they could and took their son to Turkey for treatment.

On March 17, 2025, Mohammad was rushed to the Medipol Mega Clinic in Istanbul. During the first few days, the doctors conducted several examinations, including blood tests, ultrasounds, CT scans, and biopsies.

Ultimately, the initial lymphoma diagnosis was not confirmed. Instead, the doctors diagnosed him with stage IV neuroblastoma of the right adrenal gland, classified as high risk.

The doctors immediately began treatment with five courses of chemotherapy and one course of the targeted drug Qarziba. However, after the fourth course, the family was informed about a change in the treatment protocol due to a "bone marrow response." This raised questions regarding the diagnosis and the prospects for recovery, leading the family to decide to change clinics and medical teams to ensure they were doing everything possible for their son.

Mohammad is currently receiving treatment at the Acibadem Maslak Clinic under the care of specialist Prof. Dr Funda Çorapcıoğlu. This new treatment plan has produced promising results: the tumour has shrunk by approximately 50%, and the bone marrow has responded as well, with a reduction of 15% on the right side and no change on the left side.

In September 2025, the little boy underwent surgery to remove the main tumor and his right adrenal gland. After completing his recovery, Mohammad will need to undergo three additional chemotherapy treatments and three courses of the drug Qarziba, along with radiation therapy sessions to eliminate the remaining metastases in his bones and blood vessels. His parents are clinging to every improvement and every glimmer of hope, believing that this is the right path to lead their son to safety, beyond which there is no cancer.

The current treatment plan at the Acibadem Maslak clinic aims to guide the little boy toward recovery. The plan includes:

- ICE chemotherapy: 3 courses (during their stay and treatment in Turkey, the children underwent a total of 9 courses of chemotherapy)

- Qarziba: 4 courses

- Radiation therapy: 35 sessions

- Follow-up diagnostics: This includes MIBG scans, CT/MRI scans, and genetic testing as needed.

The family is doing everything they can, but the cost of treatment exceeds their financial means. They have already exhausted all of their personal savings and cannot manage on their own.

Mohammad is finding the medical procedures difficult to endure. They involve injections, IVs, and a loss of appetite during chemotherapy. The poor, exhausted little boy is apprehensive about doctors due to the painful procedures. He particularly dislikes the port replacement procedure because of the intense pain from the injection into his vein. The journey he is on is far too cruel for a child.

"Every bit of help you provide brings Mohammad one step closer to a pain-free life. We desperately want our little boy to return to playing with his toys and enjoying his time at the playground, so that his childhood can be filled with smiles instead of IVs. We have faith in the professionalism of the doctors and professors, faith in God, and the support of compassionate individuals like you. We are learning to live again, but each day is a struggle for our son's life.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and for any kind gesture that helps us move closer to his recovery. With all our hearts, we ask you: please help our son live! Sincerely,  Mohammad's parents."
