Nuraly has aplastic anaemia. He is the youngest of five brothers in his family, and all of them cry and feel pain for him. Nuraly is the favourite son, named after his grandfather. His name means "great and bright," and he has truly become a ray of light for his family.
His three older brothers, who are school-aged, try to cheer him up and entertain him with toys and conversation. His youngest brother, who is only nine months old, hugs Nuraly and smiles as if to say, "Don't be afraid; everything will be fine! We are with you!"
Unfortunately, even though his loving parents and five brothers are by his side, they cannot save him from this terrible and cruel blood disease. We urgently need your help!
Nurali is a cheerful and active boy who loves to play with superhero toys, draw, swing, and go down slides. He enjoys splashing in the water, especially in the beautiful Issyk-Kul Lake. However, what he loves most of all is his little brother. They are both scared that they might have to part ways, worrying that the hospital could separate them forever. Unfortunately, a serious illness threatens Nurali's life.
Nuraly was born a healthy baby, weighing 3,535 grams and measuring 50 centimetres in length. He rarely fell ill and grew up to be a strong, active toddler. Nothing indicated that he would face a serious illness in the future. However, a few months ago, Nuraly's life changed dramatically. The once cheerful and active child became sad and depressed. He started to experience pain in his legs, dizziness, restless sleep, and frequent nosebleeds. After an urgent examination, Nuraly was rushed to the haematology department, where his family received the diagnosis: aplastic anaemia. Despair filled their hearts.
His immunity is very low, and he is unable to leave the hospital. He feels anxious about going home and misses his family, but his illness keeps him from doing so. He has developed a fear of injections, IVs, and doctors. Despite this, he is a bright and intelligent boy.
In terms of character, he is persistent and determined, often unwilling to compromise, which can make him difficult to reason with. However, this also reflects his strong personality. He enjoys going for walks, especially in the park and around the village, where he likes visiting shops. He and his brothers live far from the city, which shapes their simple yet meaningful forms of entertainment. Nuraly particularly enjoys walking his brothers to school.
"We are simple, honest people who lead a healthy lifestyle. We don't smoke or drink alcohol. Nuraly's father is an accountant, and I am a housewife. A year ago, our family welcomed another baby boy, Nuraly's little brother, Babur. Nuraly loves playing with him. Unfortunately,
I can't be with Babur in the hospital, as I have a very young child to look after. Instead, Nuraly's dad is with him. He misses us very much, especially me and our home.
We live in a village far from the city of Bishkek, and right now, we are facing a very difficult time. It hurts to see our child suffering. However, the doctors in Turkey have given us hope with a prognosis of a 90% chance of recovery. Nuraly needs an allogeneic bone marrow transplant, which unfortunately cannot be performed here. We firmly believe that with the right treatment and the support of kind-hearted people, our Nuraly will get better. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover the costs of the treatment on our own. We kindly ask for your support.” Nuraly’s mother.
Nuraly's family typically gathers in their warm, welcoming home, where they prepare delicious meals and enjoy each other's company. However, things are especially challenging for them right now, as Nuraly and his father are undergoing treatment far from home. They find strength in hope—hope for a bright future and for Nuraly’s recovery.
Please grant little Nuraly the gift of health and recovery!
