Asima could lose her sight, her eyes, and her life within a year! She can be saved in Switzerland!

Asima means guardian or protector. Her grandmother chose this name for her youngest granddaughter, who now needs help to protect her health and life. This assistance from the Almighty can come through every person living in the world!

Asima is the fifth child in a loving family, which includes her two brothers, Beslan and Muslim, and her two sisters, Amina and Adila. The family enjoys spending time in nature and celebrating Oroz Ait and Kurban Ait. When Asima was born, she was surrounded by love and care. The little girl adored the cartoon "The Shark Baby," her eyes glued to the screen. She also listened attentively to verses from the Quran, which are often recited in their home. Unfortunately, this love and care did not protect the family from a challenging trial…

When the girl was 3 months old, on 5 December 2024, she was diagnosed with retinoblastoma (cancer of the retina in both eyes).

This rare malignant tumour threatens not only her eyesight, but also her very life! Treatment began immediately. In Almaty, she underwent two courses of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, it became evident that saving her eyesight was not possible due to the risk of the tumour metastasising to the brain. This led to the difficult decision to remove her left eye. As a result, Asima's parents sold their flat within days to fund her immediate treatment in Switzerland. The fight for her eyesight continues.

From February to July 2025, the little girl underwent seven rounds of chemotherapy, after which the funds from the sale of the apartment were depleted.

During the fourth, fifth, and sixth courses of treatment, chemotherapy was utilised to address the relapses affecting the lower part of the optic nerve, subretinal areas, the lower temporal arc, and peripheral scarring. This experience demonstrated that retinoblastoma in a child with cancer is both insidious and dynamic. Only the most advanced Swiss equipment, along with the extensive expertise of a world-renowned clinic, can provide a chance for Asima's survival. Sadly, the family cannot meet the rising medical expenses and still lacks one-third of the total amount needed to settle the bill. This situation significantly reduces the little girl's chances of recovery.

Asima's family and loved ones are praying for help to come to the child through kind human hands and hearts.

In mid-August, when the father of the family returns from his shift, he will need to take the baby for another round of treatment. During his absence, the entire family assists the mother. The older children often line up to hug their youngest sister and enjoy taking her for walks. Asima is growing up to be a cheerful child, and her patience is remarkable. The girl's parents are steadfastly enduring the challenges they face, including financial difficulties. Although they feel anxious, they do not despair or give up. Mom, Dad, two brothers, and two sisters firmly believe that they will receive the help needed to save their beloved Asima. After all, prayers to the Almighty cannot go unanswered!

Any assistance provided to this family to save their daughter will bring great joy to the Creator, and His blessings will be upon those who need help and on all who contribute to their cause!
