Every parent aspires to cultivate in their children a passion for education. It will help the child find their life's work. Children need to enjoy learning new things from a young age to view the world broadly and discover new opportunities. Unfortunately, many parents struggle with their children to get them to do their homework. School psychologist, Anastasia Andreevna Novoselova, shares tips on how to foster a love for learning in children and reduce stress for the entire family.
The modern education system is not without its flaws, and it can be challenging to encourage a love of learning in students. Instead, we should focus on how to cultivate motivation for learning. It's normal for students to have preferences and varying levels of aptitude in different subjects. However, they should understand that some activities, even if not enjoyable, are necessary, much like routine tasks. Studying is one such activity. General education subjects form an essential part of the school curriculum and are crucial for overall development. It's important to explain to students that regardless of their future career path, they will need to draw upon knowledge from these subjects. For instance, a psychologist may encounter complex formulas in their line of work that require mathematical and logical thinking. Therefore, general education subjects are fundamental to any industry or field of study. As much as we may dislike them, we must complete the curriculum.
