Sun of Hope Public Foundation Director Dina Makarenko visited our protégé Sherzod Muratzhanov, who is currently being treated at the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health. In early December, we paid for the boy's expensive diagnosis of minimal residual acute leukaemia as part of the "For Life" charity campaign.
3-year-old Sherzod from Uch Korgon village, Batken region, is seriously ill. Cancer burst into his little life in March this year. Doctors did not immediately suspect an insidious disease, they treated a cold, but the baby did not get better. With poor test results, he was admitted to the city hospital where leukaemia was suspected. Further tests revealed acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in the high-risk group.
Our foundation actively implements the direction "For Life", which was created to support seriously ill children. We thank our helpers who support our activities and help the children to get timely check-ups, and expensive treatments and medicines.
Sherzod loves little iron cars and can talk about them for hours. But he doesn’t dream of a new toy in his collection. All his wishes are related to recovery and returning home. When asked, "What do you dream of most?" he answers, "I always want to be at home."
We wish him a speedy recovery and a return home! Stay healthy, little Sherzod!
The little boy is bravely fighting for his life against cancer, enduring challenging procedures that many adults struggle with. He has a strong desire to live, but the fundraising efforts are still far from reaching their goal.
