Yesterday, Maksat was rushed to the hospital. Today, the baby underwent a procedure and has begun a new course of chemotherapy. He faces five long and difficult days of struggle ahead.
“In addition to the adenovirus still present in his body, Maksat has also been diagnosed with cytomegalovirus. Fortunately, the doctors were able to start treatment immediately—there is no time to wait,” says the boy's mother.
Maksat is only 3 years old. Recently, he had the opportunity to spend nine days outside the hospital, living with his parents in a hotel, and he even started eating a little. However, the joy was short-lived.
Maksat has a rare form of blood cancer caused by three genetic mutations. Today, doctors performed a biopsy, and complex genetic tests are upcoming to determine if there are signs of a tumour and whether he can continue on the path to recovery.
Every day is precious for Maksat. Right now, he is taking hormones and fighting with all his strength. Please help him continue this fight—any support gives him a chance at life!
