A birthday cake, candles, and his most cherished wish—none of it came true. Maksat turned four, but instead of the joyful laughter of children and a house full of family, he found himself surrounded by the stark white walls of a hospital ward in China.
Due to the ten-day Chinese New Year holiday, his scheduled chemotherapy had to be postponed. Returning to the hospital after those days away was a real shock for him. The little boy cried and begged to go "home" to the hotel, where it didn’t hurt, there were no IV drips, and it wasn’t so scary or boring.
Today, the doctors conducted some tests, and as soon as the results are ready, treatment will resume. But the fight is becoming increasingly challenging; Maksat is very tired. Even his appetite has become a struggle—he will only eat meat and flatly refuses vegetables and side dishes. His mother, Yerkezhan, is doing her best, but her heart breaks at the sight of her sad son.
For his birthday, Maksat made just one wish: that his loved ones would come to visit him. Unfortunately, the family is on a strict budget—every penny, every tenge goes toward paying for his expensive treatment. He spent the day with his mother, enjoying a homemade cake and presents, but the most important thing was missing: the feeling that his illness had receded and life could return to normal.
Your support today is not just financial help for medication; it’s a chance for Maksat to complete his treatment sooner and finally hug all of his loved ones, whom he misses so desperately.
Please help Maksat through this difficult phase of chemotherapy. Every donation brings him closer to returning home.
