A bone marrow transplant (BMT) was successfully performed for Abdurahim. Now he just needs to wait, and on the 25th day after the transplantation, the test results will show how well the donor cells have taken root.
Initially, he experienced a high fever, was prescribed antibiotics, and later showed a high ESR along with other signs of an acute inflammatory process in his body. Unfortunately, these symptoms indicated Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, and he could not receive the help he needed in his home country. The only way to save him was to bring him to Turkey for treatment. This would not have been possible without your support, and little Abdurahim might have remained forever a five-year-old child.
The Almighty has shown His love and mercy to this family! The fundraising campaign has concluded, a life-saving surgery has been performed, and post-surgical therapy has been provided—all thanks to your generous support! May the Creator bless you and your families!
The donor was the baby's brother, Abdukarim, who has returned home with his father and is back in school. Now, Abdurahim has gained a large number of brothers—people who have not abandoned him in his time of misfortune!
Together with the boy's family, we want to thank all of you for the marvellous rescue that saved the children’s lives! Our prayers are now focused on the child's recovery, which, while not without complications, remains within the normal range for the post-surgery period. We firmly believe that everything will go well for the baby.
May your prayers and support from above continue to help Abdurahim! Thank you for being there!
