Aslan already has two potential donors who are currently undergoing testing. The baby urgently needs a bone marrow transplant due to positive examination results. A fragile remission has been achieved, and the transplant must be performed promptly during this window.
Our fundraising efforts are still ongoing... and cancer WILL NOT WAIT! If the blasts start to grow again in Aslan's blood, the bone marrow transplant will no longer be possible.
Currently, Aslan is staying in a hotel, but they go to the clinic for check-ups every day. An ophthalmologist has also examined Aslan.
So far, Aslan has been given two days of rest at home. In the meantime, he continues to take a chemopreventive drug in tablet form, which helps to fight blood cancer and maintain the baby in remission. Since starting the medication, Aslan has been experiencing weakness and is now sleeping twice a day, compared to once previously. Nevertheless, he is generally feeling reasonably well. He is allowed to go outside, although he must wear a mask.
Even though Aslan is currently in remission and his condition allows him to undergo a bone marrow transplant, preparations need to begin. A donor is available, and the doctors are hurrying, but the bill has not yet been paid.
We ask you to unite and help this one-year-old baby! Aslan's eyes are filled with hope and he pleads for your help. His parents are reaching out to all who care seeking your support. Please do not turn away!
Cancer is very insidious, and unfortunately, little Aslan will not survive without a transplant.
Today, on May 9th, we remember and honour the victims of war and pay tribute to the courage, dignity, and strength of our heroes.
