“Unfortunately, we have not raised the necessary funds for the surgery. Currently, we are negotiating with the hospital to see if it is possible to perform the surgery first and allow us to pay later. So far, the clinic representatives have stated that payment must be made as soon as the donor agrees to proceed. They will only take the donor's cells after the payment is completed.
The doctors have informed us that the preparation for the surgery is about to begin, and soon my son will stop chemotherapy. The donor has confirmed his willingness to help Aslan. Our supervisor at the clinic will request a delay in payment, but it is uncertain whether this will be approved. Honestly, I don't know if this will work,” said Aslan's mother.
Everything is prepared for the bone marrow transplant; however, the bill has not been paid.
Aslan's teeth were severely deteriorated after undergoing a challenging treatment, and the doctors instructed him to address this issue before his transplant. Consequently, Aslan and his mother returned to the hospital. Several teeth were extracted under general anaesthesia.
Aslan is continuing to take dry chemotherapy to prolong his remission, without which the bone marrow transplant (BMT) would not be possible. About an hour after receiving the dry chemotherapy, Aslan becomes lethargic and nauseous. He sleeps a lot, and in the morning, it is difficult for him to wake up at 7 AM to go to the hospital. He now experiences quiet times not just once, as he did before, but two to three times a day. Additionally, he must be very cautious and can only go outdoors while wearing gloves and a mask.
The transplantation is scheduled for mid-March, and our fundraising efforts are still ongoing. We kindly ask for your support for little Aslan, as his life is at stake.
With great joy and gratitude, we are pleased to announce that the fundraising campaign for our little hero Aslan is now closed.
