On February 6, a devastating earthquake occurred in Turkey and Syria, the last natural disaster of this magnitude was several centuries ago. The world was confronted with a great tragedy, and all hearts are now with the families of the victims and the dead. The disaster has claimed more than 12,000 lives. After 65 or more hours, people are still being freed from under the collapsed buildings. Life in these lands seems to have come to a standstill, with residents rallying to rescue those still under the rubble. People rallied around the disaster and mourned together and tried to help, it's easier that way. Rescue flights from other countries flew to Turkey and Syria. There are still light earthquakes in some provinces. People in different cities and countries go to the embassies of Syria and Turkey with flowers. Flowers and children's toys are near the buildings, candles are burning.
Our foundation sympathizes with all who are affected by this suffering. Our hearts are with you. We pray that rescuers will find everyone alive who is still on the ground in the rubble in these cold days. May help arrive in time, and may the means of rescue and warmth be sufficient for all! We pray that such a catastrophe may never happen again.
Strength to the relatives to survive these days!
