New Year's " Sun of Hope" made cancer patients happy!

Dear readers!

Your responsive hearts and kind deeds again helped to give joy to those who need it very much! Thanks to your support of the "Smile to the Sun" programme, the little patients of the oncology and oncohaematology departments had a real holiday! It took place right in the lobby of the hospital on 18 December.

Under the beautiful live sounds of violin and cello, under favourite New Year songs and melodies from the film "Harry Potter", the children sat down on chairs in the hall decorated with a giant Christmas tree. When everyone was in their seats, the most significant part began - Father Frost and his granddaughter Snegurochka arrived at the holiday. At first timidly, and then, more and more boldly and loudly, children answered questions and guessed riddles. Finally, many of them were dancing with their favourite winter wizard!

But really "fiery" dances were shown to everyone by young dancers of the school of lezginka ATESH who came to congratulate the children. Everyone seemed to forget that they were in the hospital for a while, and smiles shone on the faces of absolutely all children and their mothers and grandmothers! Of course, no holiday, especially a New Year's holiday, is without presents! Everyone who attended the performance received their New Year boxes with sweets.

Unfortunately, some of the oncological patients of the department could not attend the holiday. But they got their presents too! Father Frost and Snegurochka visited every ward and gave congratulations to the kids.

The hospital staff received a heater as a gift, essential for one of the procedure rooms, which had an exit to the street. Now, little patients will be warmer and more comfortable!

The party for the children was a success!

Dina Makarenko, Head of the Sun of Hope Foundation, expresses her gratitude to all of you! Thanks to your support of the "Smile to the Sun" project, it was possible to make children with serious illnesses happy. And, of course, a huge thanks to all those who created this New Year's matinee: the musicians of the State Philharmonic, Oleg Ponomaryov (cello) and Eleonora Karnachenko (violin), and the school of lezginka "ATESH" and its head, Aivazov Aidyn Akhmetovich. And Father Frost and Snow Maiden from the Dariya dance ensemble and their leader- Cholpon.
