Help Madina to get out of the clutches of cancer!

Little Madina sits on a hospital bed and plays with a soft toy, dresses up her favourite bear cub in a beautiful outfit, puts sunglasses on him and goes for a "walk" with him on the windowsill. So far, only such kinds of walks are available to her. The terrible cancer has closed Madinochka in the hospital ward. The girl dreams to get well soon and return home. She is at the finish line. To adjust the treatment and defeat the cancer, she needs to take an expensive test for minimal residual disease, and only in this way, the doctors will be able to exclude the risk of recurrence.

The family has no money. Our dear helpers, the amount is small, together we can help the little girl as soon as possible. Your help will be the best news for Madina!

Little Madina's story

Madina was born on 4 May 2017 in the Suzak district of the Jalal-Abad region. The little girl was not sick until one year old, developed, learnt the world and grew up. But when she was one year old, she fell ill with flu, complications began, and coughing, weakness and pallor of the skin did not go away. The parents went to the hospital for help. Examinations showed that the little girl had an enlarged liver.

"We were urgently sent to Bishkek to the oncology department of the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health. Apart from Madina, I have two other children. They stayed with my husband's sister at that time. My husband, Madina and I went to Bishkek. Here, in the oncology department, we were met by doctor Chynara Makenovna. She told us that our daughter had been diagnosed with cancer. She has been treated for one year. The dynamics were positive. And after a year, we were discharged home," says Zuurakan, Madina's mother.

For 4 years the disease did not make itself felt. Madina returned to a happy childhood. It seemed that all the most terrible things were in the past. She was looking forward to going to the 1st grade. But she had time to study for only one month, got an injury to her right eye, swelling appeared, and ptosis - visible drooping of the upper eyelid. Her parents immediately turned to the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health.

The family's worst suspicions were confirmed - Madina's cancer relapsed and returned. The girl was diagnosed with myeloid sarcoma with soft tissue lesions in the right orbit of the eye - a rare malignant solid tumour that occurred as a relapse after leukaemia.

"We have been in hospital for a year now. God willing, we are on the mend. To understand how the treatment went and what we should do next, we need an expensive MRD test to determine the minimal measurable residual disease. We don't have the money. We are desperate. We are terrified that the cancer will come back again. Please help us save our daughter!" - Zuurakan, Madina's mother, asks for help.

Minimal residual disease (MRD) is a small number of tumour cells that can cause a recurrence. It is crucial to have this test now to change the treatment if there are tumour cells. We ask you to take part in the fate of little Madina. Become a good magician for her!

Madina's fundraising is performed as part of the "Time to Help" programme, which aims to support the health of our country's children. After all, this is the main task both for families and the whole society. Healthy children - healthy nation!
