Sultan has endured so much pain in his short three years of life. We must save him from cancer!

Sultan is only three years old, and since being discharged from the birth center, he has spent an overwhelming amount of time in various hospitals. This seems to be a great injustice in his young life. All he can do is swallow his bitter tears and fight against this terrible disease. Sultan has cancer.

Without your compassion, he may be unable to remain in this world. Please open your heart to his story!

Just three days after being discharged from the maternity hospital, the doctor advised his mother, “You need to take him to the infectious disease hospital.” Once there, his condition worsened significantly; his oxygen saturation began to drop. The baby was immediately connected to oxygen, and his treatment plan was adjusted.

For a long time, the baby rarely left the hospital. At just one year old, Sultanchik was diagnosed with bronchial asthma and second-degree iron deficiency anemia. Until he turned three, he was treated with iron supplements and underwent regular blood tests. However, soon the child started to deteriorate again. He appeared pale and was often cranky. After playing, he would immediately lie down to rest, suffering from unexplained weakness, and he no longer wanted to walk—his relatives had to carry him. They were extremely worried about what was happening to their cherished and long-awaited baby.

When the test results indicated a serious issue, the pediatrician referred the parents of a pale, lethargic baby, cradled in his mother’s arms, to an oncologist and a hematologist. The next day, they visited an oncohematologist. After the examination, the doctor diagnosed leukemia and advised that the baby be hospitalised immediately for further tests to confirm or rule out the disease.

In the hospital, Sultanchik's condition worsened, leading to him being placed on drips and antibiotics. The doctors recommended that a bone marrow puncture be performed under anesthesia. The family signed the necessary papers and gave their consent. After the procedure, they waited anxiously and prayed that the diagnosis would not be confirmed.

In the evening, the mother was called into an office where she received the devastating news: Sultan had leukemia, with 14.4% blasts present in his body.

The baby was transferred to the onco-haematological department of the Institute of Paediatrics. The child underwent multiple examinations, including a bone marrow puncture. While under anesthesia, a catheter was placed in the cervical spine. Within three days, the blast cells grew to 48.8%. By the evening, the results of the puncture confirmed a diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Poor Sultanchik underwent a blood transfusion and a lumbar puncture. The painful first round of chemotherapy began during this time. Throughout the treatment process, Sultan was also taking hormones, antifungals, and antibiotics. The doctors recommended seeking treatment for the baby abroad, as the aggressive chemotherapy could potentially be fatal, but the family could not afford this option. On February 7, 2025, he received his first and second chemotherapy treatments, and he is now preparing for his third. It is undoubtedly a tremendous challenge for this young child to endure, as cancer is relentless and offers no second chances to fight back.

Despite frequently being in the hospital, Sultan always remained a cheerful and active boy. He took part in everything happening around him and enjoyed attending the kindergarten where his mother worked as a teacher, playing with other children. Sultan has a sister named Aisha, who is 5 years old. She understands everything perfectly and supports her brother every day. Soon, they will welcome another sibling.

Sultan happily plays with cars and, together with Aisha, invents different games. He enjoys reading books, drawing, and learning new songs. When he isn’t suffering from illnesses, he loves eating lagman and, of course, sweets—how could he resist them?

In Turkey, Sultanchik has been given a prognosis of a 90% chance of recovery! However, the life-saving treatment he needs costs an enormous amount of money, which his family simply cannot afford. His devoted mother is in an incredibly difficult situation, torn between the need to save her beloved son and the responsibility of caring for the baby she is about to bring into the world. It’s hard to imagine the emotional turmoil she must be experiencing right now. The family urgently needs your help to save Sultan. He has the potential to be healthy and live a full life, but that can only happen if this brave and patient little boy receives the necessary treatment in Turkey, where he is already waiting.

"My Sultanchik is very curious and attentive to everyone around him, including his family and other children. He always asks many questions in his cute baby language and prefers everything to be in its proper place. He has a strong affection for cars. Our little one is extremely kind and caring—always eager to help, loves to cuddle, smiles genuinely, and wishes the best for everyone.

However, with the diagnosis of his illness, our lives have been turned upside down. We were not prepared for such news, and it was a significant blow for us. But as they say, after hardship comes relief. We believe that our Sultanchik is strong, and we will get through this challenge together. Please help us save our son! Sultanchik is very sweet, and he will be eternally grateful for your kindness, as will we. Don't let us lose him; we love him so much! Unfortunately, we can't save him without your support."

Dilnaz, Sultan's mum.

The brave little Sultan-Akhun is waiting for your assistance!
