After Sultan was discharged from the Institute of Paediatrics, his condition sharply deteriorated, and he developed a strong cough. He underwent three tests, each showing that his platelet and haemoglobin levels were significantly lower than normal. The doctors insisted on re-hospitalisation; however, the family faced a difficult decision and chose to leave urgently for Turkey.
Delaying treatment could have been too dangerous, as a relapse might occur at any moment, leaving them with very little chance for effective healing.
On Sunday, April 13, Sultan travelled to Turkey with his father and grandfather. The journey was challenging for Sultan; he slept during the flight, did not eat, and only sipped a little water. Upon arrival, he slept most of the time and refused to eat.
Now that Sultan is in Turkey, he was taken to a clinic immediately after his arrival. The doctors decided to hospitalise him right away due to critically low test results. He is currently undergoing a blood transfusion and has been prescribed intravenous fluids, antibiotics, and inhalation treatments. The doctors explained that he will soon receive a comprehensive examination to stabilise his condition. After that, they plan to perform a biopsy.
Sadly, cancer does not wait for funds to be raised for treatment. It mercilessly and coldly attacks a child's body. The Sultan family had to take the risk of travelling to Turkey without money for the treatment.
Kind people, please support the child's recovery! He desperately needs you!
