Daniel received a positive prognosis and treatment options at 27 weeks. Support to cope with cancer!

“We turn to you for help because we can’t cope alone,” Daniel’s mum wrote to the Foundation.

The little boy with beautiful, sad eyes desperately needs your support!

When he was 3 years old, the boy was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, which had metastasized to his lungs. Daniel underwent a complex surgery and four rounds of high-dose chemotherapy. After a year and a half in remission, the cancer relapsed. The doctors were hesitant to perform a second surgery in the same area where the first operation had occurred. As a result, the boy's mother decided to seek a consultation in Turkey. Following the first histology report, it was revealed that the initial diagnosis was not confirmed.

Daniel was diagnosed with a Wilms tumour in an unusual location - the sacrococcygeal area. This case was so rare that fewer than 100 similar cases were found in official sources.

After a more thorough examination, it was determined that the tumour was located on the sciatic nerve, complicating the surgery. Daniel would never be able to walk again. To avoid damaging the nerve endings during the operation, the doctors decided to use a neurostimulator. This allowed them to perform the surgery successfully without affecting the body’s motor functions. However, another issue arose: although the entire world had raised enough funds for the operation, there was nothing left for further treatment!

The boy requires long-term treatment with chemotherapy and radiation therapy that will last nearly 27 months in total. His family does not have the necessary funds to cover these expenses. Since his operation in October 2024, Danyusha has completed 7 courses of radiation and has received 5 injections of chemotherapy, which are administered weekly according to the SIOP protocol. He still has 27 more injections and 10 chemotherapy drips left to complete. So far, no metastases have been detected, and the doctors have a positive prognosis. However, achieving this outcome depends on the successful completion of all follow-up treatments.

Daniel needs to complete his treatment to show cancer who is the master in the house. However, without the support of kind people, his mother cannot help her son.

Daniel is a very kind and loving boy who cares deeply for his mother and grandmother. Despite his secretive nature, he has always been aware that he had his coccyx removed and that he underwent various medical procedures, including an MRI, ultrasound, and CT scan. He clearly remembers everything that happened before his surgery and the experience of coming out of anaesthesia. Daniel has a profound admiration for his first doctor. Although he is still a child, he possesses the soul of an adult—understanding, responsible, and mature. Daniel dreams of becoming a successful manager one day so he can support his mother and grandmother. However, he currently needs assistance to stay alive.

Help Daniel! His name means "God is my judge," and the Almighty, who observes everyone's actions, will recognize any assistance given to him. He will bless both Daniel and those who lend a hand in saving his life!
