Aliya has been in the hospital for four days and has started receiving high-dose chemotherapy. Both she and her mother are aware of what to expect and are filled with anxiety about the upcoming challenges: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, mood swings, and swelling in her face, eyes, and legs. Aliya will likely experience all of these side effects.
Please show your support for Aliya during this difficult time!
Cancer came on suddenly for Aliya. In January, she began experiencing severe pain in her legs and joints. Initially, doctors diagnosed her with rheumatoid arthritis, but the prescribed medication did not alleviate her symptoms. Soon after, her haemoglobin levels began to drop sharply, leading doctors to suspect leukaemia. After a bone marrow analysis, Aliya's family received the diagnosis on May 17: leukaemia. Unfortunately, her body did not respond to the treatment she received in her home country. As a result, her family decided to seek further treatment in India.
According to doctors, Aliya is currently awaiting her final chemotherapy session. Once she recovers from the side effects, she will need to undergo a Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) to save her life. We must complete the fundraising in time to proceed with this treatment.
Aliya misses her home, school, friends, and classmates very much. However, she is in a state where she doesn't feel like communicating or staying in touch with anyone. Recently, her older brother, Bektur, came to visit her; he will be her bone marrow donor. He is the only one who can distract her from her sad and heavy thoughts and alleviate her fear of medical procedures. Aliya is extremely tired of fighting for her right to live and trying to escape from pain. She is eagerly waiting for help from compassionate adults like you.
Please consider giving Aliya the gift of life!
