"It's been two weeks... "4 courses of chemotherapy. The course, as the doctors warned, was so challenging. Our blood counts dropped 2-4 times. My girl's body weakened badly, and her immunity is practically at zero. My daughter is exhausted, and it hurts to look at her.
She is only 2 years old, but she looks like a tired adult. For stimulation, we were prescribed hormonal therapy, which greatly affects the child's mood and appetite.
Due to low labs, we are now home all the time. Going out and having contact with people is extremely dangerous for Asadiya now. Any virus or bacteria can be deadly for her daughter with her weak immune system. We hope that her daughter's body will be able to withstand these stresses. We can only believe and wait for help...
Despite the low counts, we are continuing treatment. If the condition worsens, the chemotherapy will have to be postponed. The doctors say the treatment is going according to plan. The 4th course of chemotherapy has been divided into two blocks. After the first block, we will have a week's break to allow the body to recover a little. After that, they will continue with the second block of the 4th course.
Cancer is unpredictable, and sometimes, things take a few hours to turn around. We're in an average condition right now. In addition to general exhaustion and fatigue, we have elevated liver values. They haven't prescribed liver medication yet, and they said they will monitor it. It's probably a reaction to the chemo.
Our 4th course consists of two blocks: October/November. At the end of October, we have a week off before the second block. There are 6 courses of chemo planned in total. If that doesn't help, there will be BMT. I wish chemo would help, and we would beat cancer!"- Asadiya's mum.
Save little Asadiya!
May this time offer chances to reflect on the past and look to the future. The future belongs to our descendants, our children, and we can trust them! However, they need our support.
