Diagnosis: Blood Cancer. Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia
Needed: Treatment at Severance Clinic in Seoul (South Korea)
Asadiya is a cute and charming little girl who adores her mum and loves to do everything with her. She loves to play doctor and play with cars. She has made friends with the doctors, and their friendship is mutual. But even at such a young age, Asadiya feels that she is seriously ill and experiences it very painfully. She is struggling endlessly.
She is just a little girl! Please support her!
"We saw babies passing away in front of our eyes. How painful it was to see it, to experience this bottomless grief and despair together with the families!
Every parent dreams that his child will live and tries to give him the best. In Kazakhstan, our Asadiya would not have had a chance. If treated, then with maximum success because this is a terrible and deadly disease. Everything pointed to the fact that starting treatment abroad would be the best and most effective.
We did not want to risk our daughter's life, so we decided to treat her abroad, in Korea, as the cost of medical services was cheaper with the same quality. We made the final decision after I had talked to parents of children who had the same diagnosis. We saw the death of other children and could not sit and wait for this cruel disease to take our little girl! Today, we ask for your support!"- Almas, Asadia's dad.
This friendly family is raising three children, a boy (7 years old) and two girls (3 and 2 years old). But their happiness was quickly and cruelly destroyed when cancer came to take away the youngest daughter... From then on, the struggle for survival began and grief and terror settled in the family.
Asadiya fell ill on 21 May 2023 while staying with her grandmother in Temirtau. Her parents thought it was a common acute respiratory infection, as there was a high fever and lethargy. Usually, the flu passed on the third day, but now, the temperature did not go down, and the poor little girl had an unhealthy abdomen swelling. Mum and Dad called an ambulance.
On 24 May 2023, the baby was put in the Children's Infectious Disease Hospital in Temirtau, but they said that the child had a low haemoglobin level and therefore it is necessary to go to the Children's Regional Hospital. On 25 May, they took the documents and went to the Children's Regional Hospital of Karaganda Region in Temirtau. The baby was retaken tests, the results of which worried the doctors. She was immediately placed in the intensive care unit, where she received a blood transfusion. The mother began to panic.
On 26 May 2023, the parents were called for a consultation by the head of the department, saying that the child's haemoglobin level was critical, which in turn could indicate serious illness, anaemia, or even more severe leukaemia. The family permitted the bone marrow puncture to be performed.
That same afternoon, they received the results, which showed the presence of blast cells (33%). The diagnosis confirmed the worst fears: acute leukaemia. The little girl was transferred to the Republican Centre for Motherhood and Childhood, Department of Oncology, Astana, where it was suggested to start chemotherapy.
During this short time, a boy, a neighbour of Asadia in the room, died. They could not give him an accurate diagnosis and treatment for a week. The parents realised that precious time was running out.
On 30 May 2023, the family flew to Seoul, and the next day, their baby girl was admitted to Severance Hospital. There they were diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and started treatment. The parents were struggling to cope with the situation. Cancer had struck a very sudden blow, on the most precious thing, their youngest daughter, joy, pride and hope....
On 11 August 2023, they finished the second stage of chemotherapy and started the third. The treatment is helping, and the little daughter is feeling better. In total 6 phases of chemotherapy are planned, including intrathecal therapy. The parents' funds to save the daughter were insufficient, so they appealed for help to charitable people and opened fundraising.
"Grief came to our home when we were not expecting it. Nor could we have imagined it in a nightmare. 26 May was the worst day of our family's life. The fight for the life of our youngest daughter began. Unfair fight, a difficult one. We would be truly grateful if you could help us. You are doing a noble deed by supporting children to defeat cancer.
May the Almighty allow you to help as many people in need as possible! We ask you to help as much as you can! It is more valuable for us now than anything else to save our daughter! We have two children back home who miss their parents and sister very much. Our funds will not be enough to pay for the treatment.
Please help us to save our little girl! She is only 2 years old, she wants to live, be happy and smile!"- Asadiya's mum.
Help little Asadiya to survive!
