They say that on New Year's Eve, any wish can come true. Friends, a New Year's miracle has happened, and each of you is the real magician in the life of a girl fighting for her life against sarcoma! Ayazhan and her family thank you for your compassion and for giving her the most important gift of the year—the opportunity to return to South Korea and receive treatment at Severance Clinic.
Ayazhan Eskendir is heading to Severance Clinic! FUNDRAISING IS NOW CLOSED! Thank you all so much for your support!
Last New Year's Eve, our beloved Ayazhan spent the holiday in a hospital in Seoul, fighting for her life against one of the deadliest types of cancer, Sarcoma. In Korea, New Year's Eve is not widely celebrated as Christmas is their main holiday. Despite this, Ayazhan and her mom set a small table and exchanged presents.
The year 2024 brought many challenges for Ayazhan. Last year, she underwent multiple rounds of complicated chemotherapy, and surgery to remove a tumour, and had prosthetics fitted. She also had a rehabilitation course and was learning to walk again. At the end of the year, her treatment was interrupted, and she returned home.
Ayazhan welcomed the New Year 2025 at home with her family. They decorated the Christmas tree, and the girl wrote a letter to Father Christmas in advance. On New Year's Eve, she waited under the tree for her present. At 12 years old, Ayazhan continues to believe in Father Christmas. Throughout the year, she also prepares gifts for her entire family. This year, under the Christmas tree, Ayazhan found a special surprise: the opportunity to return to South Korea for a check-up!
Ayazhan's family has maintained communication with her treating doctor in Seoul throughout her treatment. The analyses they have received so far are promising. Now, she is set to undergo the examination for which we have raised funds. We remain hopeful for positive results and will keep everyone who cares about her updated.
Thank you very much to everyone who supported Ayazhan Eskendir.
Recently, following another round of intensive treatment, his doctor happily announced that Imran has progressed from stage three to stage two cerebral palsy!
