Today, Bishkek celebrates its 146th birthday. The city is not only an administrative and political centre but also an industrial, commercial, financial, cultural, scientific, and educational hub of Kyrgyzstan. It is the largest transport hub in the country. The Kyrgyz call their capital "Green City" because of the large number of century-old oaks and poplars, and the young spirit of the city with vibrant life. We wish Bishkek prosperity and a beautiful and joyful life.
More than one million people live in the capital, and different religions and nationalities coexist peacefully. The people of Bishkek are known for their kindness, hospitality, and openness. Family and domestic traditions occupy a special place in their lives, reflecting the wisdom accumulated over generations. Taking care of future generations is vital, and children have a special place in Kyrgyz culture. We are grateful that you have a place in your hearts for our little ones who are desperate to find salvation.
Together with the National Center for Maternal and Child Health, we have launched the Time to Help project. The funds raised are used to buy vital medicines for seriously ill children and pay for expensive laboratory tests. We hope that together, we can preserve and improve the health of our country's children. It is not only the family's responsibility, but the entire society's to fulfil this task. Healthy children mean a healthy nation.
In honour of this great holiday, let us help the little patients and give them hope for salvation:
