At such a young age, Aslan is facing a serious diagnosis and is unable to comprehend the concept of Father Frost or why everyone eagerly anticipates his arrival. To bring some joy to her son during this difficult time, his mother, Kristina, drew a festive picture for him. Aslan appreciated the gesture, stopped crying for a while, and looked at the drawing with enthusiasm.
"Today will be the last time Aslan receives chemotherapy and targeted therapy. He is now very weak and has little appetite, relying on a feeding tube for nourishment. Unfortunately, we will be celebrating the New Year in his hospital ward. As Aslan is currently wheezing, we’ve started breathing treatments, but he is struggling to manage them." - Aslan's mom.
Aslan's parents were anxiously awaiting the results of his bone marrow analysis, hopeful that after the last course of chemotherapy, they could begin preparations for a transplant. However, the results were disappointing: there were 7% blasts (cancer cells), which is a very poor indicator for transplantation. To help put Aslan into remission, doctors prescribed a new and expensive treatment that included targeted therapy in addition to chemotherapy.
Aslan and his mother are currently in a private block where he is receiving new treatment. Unfortunately, the family is facing a severe financial crisis and lacks the funds to cover the upcoming therapy costs.
Help ensure that this young life continues into the New Year 2025! Support the Azeipov family in their effort to save their son.
With great joy and gratitude, we are pleased to announce that the fundraising campaign for our little hero Aslan is now closed.
