Asadiya received the last dose of her third course of chemotherapy therapy

03.10.2023 13:15

Little Asadiya has received the last dose of chemotherapy of the third course. And the test results speak for themselves: the treatment is working. The baby is getting better, but she will have three more courses of chemotherapy to come. It is a complicated but life-saving treatment, which is impossible without your help...

Before the fourth course, the doctors are giving her a 14-day break. Normally, patients are not given such a long rest. However, the parents were warned that the next stage would be very challenging, the dosages of chemo will be much higher than the previous ones, so it is necessary to recover well before starting the injection.

It has been 120 days since the little girl has been on treatment in Korea. Asadiya is very tired... The hospital staff have advised mum and dad on how to behave with the baby and respond to mood swings. They realise that tantrums, aggression and depression are a way of expressing their emotional dissatisfaction and irritation. Of course, parents are scared to see how a tiny daughter from a cheerful child turns into a terrified girl, and it worries them very much. They dream only about one thing: to drive away cancer and to finish all this nightmare. But if the fundraising doesn't close with our mutual efforts, that will never happen...

"During all this time, while our Asadiya is coming off chemo - she is very aggressive, irascible, can break everything around, swear, roar. Only walks outside saved us, where she behaved more or less calmly. But as soon as we came home, the tantrums resumed. She could bang her head against the floor, the wall. Biting us, biting herself. In general, this course was arduous and morally draining. My daughter has developed a fear of the treatment room. She is afraid of it but understands that she has to go in there anyway. She is crying, but she no longer resists. This moment is the most unbearable when you see the desperation and fear in my daughter's eyes. It's like she's looking at me and asking me when this will all be over...

Thank you, friends, for being with us and for supporting us. We feel that we are morally almost exhausted, so we try to find inspiration, strength, and enthusiasm in simple things.

For example, we turn an ordinary walk to the playground into a whole quest, where we have to visit our friend "Kotik" (a cat from the vet clinic, sitting by the window), escape from sharks (an aquarium with fish) and wait for a green corridor (traffic lights).

We wish the foundation and all its staff good health and success. We ask the sponsors to support our daughter a bit more in this journey. After all, it is incredibly hard for her. It is much more painful and difficult for her than for us. And without your support, all her chances will disappear ... ".
