On May 29th, Ayazhan turned 11 years old. She celebrated her birthday in a hospital ward without friends and relatives, devoid of the usual festivities. Her only wish was to get well and return home. Ayazhan reflected on how cancer had intruded into her life on her 10th birthday, marking a year of struggle for her and her family. With their resources depleted, her treatment hangs in the balance. Only your donations can save her and ensure she receives the necessary treatment.
On her eleventh birthday, Ayazhan's wish was for life.
Ayazhan used to eagerly anticipate her birthdays, meticulously planning and longing for celebrations. However, everything changed last year when cancer took away her strength and dreams, leaving her with the sole desire to survive.
Ayazhan's mother made her feel like it was a holiday by buying a cake. At midnight, Ayazhan blew out the candles and made a wish. Unexpectedly, in the afternoon, children who were also receiving treatment at the hospital arrived. They inflated balloons, and there was plenty of pizza. Everyone gave Ayazhan different presents for her birthday. Ayazhan smiled and genuinely rejoiced that kind people were nearby even in such conditions. It was so important to her that she wouldn't be alone on her birthday.
Please remember the following information:
The very next day, Ayazhan was hospitalised for chemotherapy, which was the final course of treatment. From June to August, in-depth bone tests, CT scans with contrast, MRI, and orthopaedic work on the leg are planned. More intervention is needed as the knee joint is not functioning, and the bones are fragile due to the chemotherapy.
We are anxiously waiting for further news. The treatment can be interrupted at any moment due to lack of funds. The clinic will not treat patients in debt. Ayazhan's treatment is showing positive results, and there is great hope for her recovery. However, to continue the therapy, we need help. Without your support, Ayazhan will not be able to overcome this. Please help!
Currently, Ayazhan is gradually working on developing her knee joint. She has achieved a 60% bend, but at least 90% is needed for effective walking. On Monday, Ayazhan was taken to Astana for chemotherapy. The tests sent to South Korea by her treating doctor have returned satisfactory results.
