Additionally, we received the heartbreaking news that another girl, Omina Abdukayimova, who was waiting for a BMT, had relapsed after being in remission.
Feruza, the mother of Zhannochka, tearfully shared the latest news:
"Today the doctor said we cannot wait for the fundraising to close. Cancer is very insidious and can come back anytime, which would sharply reduce our chances. It's important not to let this happen and to try to keep it in remission at all costs. In 1 week, we will start chemotherapy according to the new protocol. The professor says it will take 2-3 months. Then, if the payment comes in, the doctors will start preparing for BMT."
Chemotherapy is an urgent action and it is not free. Please help Zhannochka to get through this. Without treatment, without a bone marrow transplant, we will just lose a little girl. Help! The bone marrow transplant (BMT) for Zhanna has been postponed for 2-3 months due to a lack of funds. Will Zhanna never overcome cancer?
Zhanna received minimal treatment in Kyrgyzstan due to her rare blood condition. The clinic didn't have any blood transfusion stocks, needed after the chemotherapy. In Turkey, they had to start the treatment almost from scratch. The little girl went into remission, but a bone marrow transplant was necessary, and the funds couldn't be found.
We kindly ask for your support in our fundraising efforts. Cancer is a very insidious disease.
May your homes always be filled with peace, prosperity, good health and the warmth of your family and friends. May this joyful festival fill your hearts with kindness, compassion and gratitude.
