Our brave friend is fighting for his life for the third year with the help of your support. Here's an update on his treatment.
He is not busy preparing for school at all, despite the upcoming academic year. Additionally, his beloved tennis racket, the one with which he started his sporting journey and that he uses with both hands, has been waiting for more than two years to be reunited with its talented owner.
The active symptoms of oncology, which started with severe abdominal pain, do not want to let the boy go. He underwent dozens of different courses to treat this aggressive cancer, but the neuroblastoma proved to be restless. It has once again metastasised to different areas of the child's head, forcing doctors to perform surgery to remove them again.
Recently, new metastases were found in the child's arm and leg. Since then, he has undergone two more courses of high-dose Ice therapy. The hope is that this heavy artillery has had an effect and the metastases have dissipated. Doctors don't have time to hesitate, they have to do BMT as soon as possible. And to perform it when there are still metastases in the body is inadmissible. That is why it was decided after extreme chemotherapy together with immunotherapy to include a medication, which is prescribed for adult patients, in the boy's treatment. The doctors are very hopeful that this will make it possible to obtain cells from Danis, which will be purified and injected into him for BMT.
We hope that this happens for Danis! We need more funds to make Danis' Bone Marrow Transplant a reality. Please support his fundraiser by participating!
