Blood cancer has already driven Akhmet to a bone marrow transplant. The donor will be the baby's brother, but the graft versus host reaction proved intolerable. Fortunately, the side effects began to recede slowly. The skin started to renew itself. The doctors prescribed a cream and added a new medication. The baby is scratching his skin until it bleeds.
We ask you to support Akhmet. He must not interrupt the treatment.
The treatment is working. The results of the bone marrow test came back. Cell engraftment is 99%. The baby's condition is still serious, and his mood is variable. Akhmet is fed up with everything. No toys or cartoons to soothe him. He just wants to go home. Mum Nurzat is in a hotel with Akhmet. They go to the hospital every day for check-ups and tests.
Recently, Akhmet had a very high fever. They thought that they would have to go to the clinic again. They took the tests and decided to leave the baby in the hote.
Mum and the baby are in despair but hope for your help. There is no money to pay for the treatment. Please help! It is the only chance they have!
