As it happens, it is not customary to celebrate New Year's Eve in Turkey, where the boy is undergoing treatment. And Akhmet's mother does not celebrate this holiday either. But she, of course, prepared a New Year present for her son. It is a big and beautiful helicopter, with which Akhmet can perfectly play the role of a policeman because he dreams of becoming one when he grows up.
But the biggest cherished dream of the child today is to become healthy! And he thinks about it not only on New Year holidays but every other day! His whole future life depends on whether this dream comes true. A life that still hangs in the balance. Only a New Year's miracle can change this situation and turn it into the best solution for the boy!
Now, his body, which underwent a bone marrow transplant from his sibling in autumn, is struggling with a severe GvHD. It was painful for Akhmet, but he still wished at the cherished hour of New Year’s Eve that he would meet the next holiday with his whole family at his grandparents' house. Those were the happiest holidays for the child before his illness. Every year they used to go to the centre and take a photo of the main Christmas tree of the country. They gathered together around the New Year's table.
And now, the main gift for him will be an opportunity to overcome GvHD and continue treatment until full recovery. Let's give Akhmet such a gift! He should recover and celebrate the genuine New Year!
