Akhmet is being prepped for TCM, but his mum can't even get up...

13.10.2023 12:00

Dear readers! We keep you informed about the preparations for the operation of our ward Akhmet. The fate of the boy, whose father said that it was pointless to fight for his life, did not leave many indifferent! The boy's mum did not give up and started to save her son!

Akhmet Omurbekov, 5 years old

Diagnosis: cancer. Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, L-variant.

Needed: TCM (bone marrow transplantation) in Medical Park Clinic (Turkey)

The fundraising amount: $10,000.

Only bone marrow transplantation can save the child! It was possible to carry out TCM only in Istanbul clinic. Fate took pity on Ahmet at least in the fact that his own brother was a perfect match for him as a donor. The family of the seriously ill child is already in Turkey, but even there their tests of strength continued! They ran out of money even for food, and the whole family was sheltered by a woman they met on the plane. Nurzat's mum weakened from worry and contracted flu, which was followed by complications. Together with her, Akhmet himself got sick.

At the moment the boy is receiving chemotherapy. He is in the hospital with his grandfather. Therefore, the elderly man urgently had to buy a hearing aid, because he has to be in touch with the doctors and properly support his grandson. Akhmet's mum is still unable to recover. The flu has been joined by severe back pain. She can't even stand up. On Friday Akhmet's brother Erzhan will go to hospital. He will undergo tests and examinations for a couple of days. If everything turns out to be fine, he will undergo a TCM next week. And by that time Nurzat must be in the hospital with the children, to replace the grandfather, so that during the TCM their mum will be with her boys.

Every time Akhmet has adverse reactions from chemotherapy. Now the baby is very much tormented by constipation. For the second day already the child cannot go to the toilet. He cries and complains of pain in the stomach. The grandfather, because of his age, finds it very difficult to look after the child. He is waiting for Nurzat to replace him as soon as possible. But the main issue that makes all the adults in the family nervous and uncomfortable is the question of payment. Ahmet's family is going into debt. They are scraping together money. They are very hopeful that the TCM will be carried out despite the debt to the clinic. Everyone is very worried. After all, if the clinic refuses, all efforts may be in vain, and nothing will save the boy's life....

Please help Akhmet to get this chance for recovery. After all, he is only one step away! Support fundraising for the boy's surgery!
