That was how our beneficiary Milana Dereberya began her letter. The girl has been trying to defeat the terrible disease for several years. She is in pain and afraid, and because of the lack of money, she risks being left without treatment and the last hope.
Milana Dereberia, 12 years old
Diagnosis: Cancer. Neuroblastoma of retroperitoneum, recurrence.
Needed: Treatment at the Hospital San Juan de Deu, Barcelona, Spain.
Amount to be raised: $20,000
"I got sick in 2019 and was 7 years old then. I went to first grade, was doing well in school and went to art school. But then I got a bad backache. My mum took me to all the hospitals. I remember my first chemo drip. It was scary. Every day it got worse. I felt nauseous, dizzy, and my hair fell out. It was so scary! The chemo got harder every time. I didn't want to eat, and I was nauseous all the time, I couldn't sleep, and it was hard to breathe. My stomach hurt a lot. I wanted to get up, shake it off and feel like that when you don't have any pain. Now I have to go through many courses of chemo again and also immunotherapy. I don't know how I'm going to take it all. I've got to get through it. I want to live. I remember when the boy from my ward died, and I was so scared. I talked to him in the morning, but he was gone in the evening... I am frightened that the last day may come soon for me too when I will be gone in the evening," Milana shared her fears with us.
We would like to support Milana's fundraising to keep the treatment going. But for that purpose, we need your help. Please help us. Milana has already undergone two blocks of chemotherapy. It was so difficult for her. She was vomiting all the time, and her stomach was very painful. Soon immunotherapy will be added to the chemo course. Mila has never received such a combined treatment before. Mum and daughter have high expectations of it. But this treatment may be interrupted, and Mum has no money to pay the clinic bills. Let's save the girl from suffering.
Please help Milana!
